Treasurer
- Must be a student in the Faculty of Common Law at the University of Ottawa;
- Organize funds by mid September for fall semester guest lecture on topic related to disability laws mandate;
- Organize at least one fundraiser that brings in a minimum of 200 dollars;
- Issue checks to reimburse board approved spending for events;
- Manage all donations by submitting forms and receipts promptly;
- Deposit all monies raised into the DLA’s bank account no later than two weeks after received;
- Publish an account of all money spent and how it was spent and all money brought in and how it was brought in. Where a donation from an individual or business wishes to remain anonymous the amount will be published, but not the source;
- Create budgets with the President for all events where money will be spent (other than the cost of printing posters to advertise general meeting);
- Do any other task required by the organization;
- Respond to e-mail in a prompt manner from other executives;
- Be willing to act as DLA ambassador after you leave the University of Ottawa (the DLA would like to continue to expand our network);
- Help support the incoming treasure over the summer after term has finished; and
- Assist the president with duties of the communication chair and blogger over the summer.
Time commitment: 2-4 hours a week
Term May 1, 2013 – May 1 2014 with support to incoming treasure until September 2, 2014
